The Paul Collins article (10-1-2020) was worthy of front-page coverage.
I was one of those who read the Republic-Monitor newspaper when Paul, who viewed life through “blue-tinted glasses,” dropped it off at Susan’s Senior Nutrition Center.
From where I sit and observe life, through “purple tinted glasses”, Roger’s letter was like throwing a 90-yard winning touchdown pass. His father-son letter of forgiveness and reconciliation, followed by a father-son campout, earns him a spot among those at the top of my list of heroes.
It’s comforting that someone else also knows one of life’s major secrets: Be a forgiver.
