Letter to the Editor: Pretty simple

Posted

The definition of leaders is that they lead, not follow, i.e.: the conspiracy theories, bigotry, racism and Ill informed and/or ignorant predilections of those they would seek to have their votes/support or just stir into a fit of mindless, frothing hatred. Washington, Franklin, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Lincoln, Grant, Sherman, Teddy Roosevelt, Blackjack Pershing, Eisenhower, Patton, MacArthur, Churchill, Truman, Golda Meir, Mosha Dayan, Reagan.
The trait they all shared in abundance was a clear, utterly fearless, and unwavering understanding that they must determine the way forward themselves direct clear and Lucid examination of the issues and then clearly, consistently and proactively inform those who must follow them if they were to succeed.
Examine the current “leadership” of what purports to be this nation’s “Republican Party” from its “top” to its seamy/slimy bottom and you will find no such person.

The only thing they share in abundance is an appalling and disgusting moral vacuousness which is both jaw-droppingly abhorrent and frightening beyond belief.
When we’re in over our heads and are presented with the choice between what seems to be a leaky raft and what is obviously a self-devouring, churning school of piranha, the choice while not ideal, is pretty simple.
