This is in response to Keith A. Carroll’s misleading Letter to the Editor.
I am appalled that Keith Carroll thinks he is an expert on political issues. Before Keith complained about the gas tax, Did he look at the budget of MoDot or the County road districts? The gas tax increase is just a few cents per gallon. Whoever doesn’t want to pay it they need to get an electric vehicle or bicycle or walk.
I am the Chairman of the Ste Genevieve County Republican Central Committee. I am a property owner in Ste Genevieve and Perry County. I own and operate a Family Excavating company. I am also a senior.
The gas tax I hope will expand and improve our roads. Build a new Chester bridge also. I hope the county will cover their dusty roads. A better road means less repairs on our cars and trucks.
Keith A Carroll, I myself and many established Republicans that reside in our area are NOT happy with your leadership. I hope you understand you are not helping the Republican Party with your misguided comments against us.
