Velda Marie Vogt, 70, of Perryville, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at her residence.
She was born August 2, 1953 in Perryville, to Rudolph and Edna (Ruessler) Ponder.
She and Alfred John Vogt were married June 7, 1991. He preceded her in death.
Velda was of the Catholic faith and former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek.
She loved to fish, going to hog roasts, family gatherings and spending time at the Ponder Farm. When she was younger she enjoyed playing slow pitch softball. Velda enjoyed watching her grandkid’s sporting events.
Survivors include two sons, John Paul Morrison; Ryan (Jennifer) Morrison; four brothers, Robert (Louella) Ponder, Wayne Ponder, Micheal Ponder, Gerald Ponder; three sisters, Evelyn (Gary) Pingel, Clara (James) Blechle, Pamela (David) Hoff; four grandchildren, Abby Morrison, Reese Morrison, Garrett (Jessica) Parmer, Hailey Minchew; two great-grandchildren, Levi Parmer, Ryan Parmer; dear friends & caregivers, Tammy Gendron and Kristi Boyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
