Theodore W. Christisen, 78, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born August 12, 1945, in Seventy-Six, Missouri, to Ludwig William and Evelyn Mary Schremp Christisen. He and Caroline Brewer were married September 21, 1968, at the United Methodist Church in Perryville. He later married Janet Runge in 1988. She preceded him in death August 23,2017.
Ted worked several years as a farm hand and especially enjoyed bailing hay. He also worked at the Alfalfa Mill in McBride and for Deere & Co. in East Moline, Illinois. He was an over the road truck driver for over forty years.
Loving survivors include two children, Patti Jean (Ralph) Gilliam of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Mark Wade Christisen of Jackson; two brothers, Roy (Shirley) Christisen, and Allen (Renee) Christisen; four sisters, Loretta Wood, Judy (Robert) Fry, Patricia (Rodney) Torbert, and Donna Mahnken; a niece, Amanda (Michael) Klaus; and a nephew, Bradley (Tiffany) Mahnken; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
