Rodney Leslie Burfiend, 55, passed away on Nov. 16, 2020 at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis. He was born Aug. 23, 1965 to Les and Jane Burfiend of Perryville, his mother still survives. Rodney attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Perryvilleand Perryville High School. He joined the U.S Navy from 1984, active duty and Navy Reserves until 1997. He was also a member of the American Legion in Perryville. During his service time he married Jody Guseman of Seattle.
Later he married Tracy Bishop of Perryville. During that marriage he had three children, Ryan Burfiend, his marriage to Destiney Overturf gave Rodney two granddaughters: Kinsley and Mia, also another son Nathaniel and a daughter Martina.
Other survivors include three sisters: Janice Caine, Patty Fuhrmann and Jackie Hammond; two nieces Jaimee Caine and Jennifer Caine; three nephews Joseph Burfiend, Jody Rulevish and Joe Edmonds; two great nieces Jesslynn Caine and Alanah Burfiend.
A private ceremony and burial was held at Post Oak Cemetery in Patton
