Rita M. Aunspach

Rita Marie Aunspach, 93, of Perryville, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
She was born June 15, 1930 in Perryville to Thomas J. and Mary Evelyn (Tucker) Elder.
Rita worked as a claims representative for Aetna Life & Casualty Insurance Company.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Ladies of Charity and Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
Rita was awarded the Outstanding Volunteer Award from St. Vincent de Paul Church. She enjoyed volunteering at many different places and helping people.
Survivors include two sisters, Doris A. Graff of Shelbyville, TN, Evelyn Unterreiner of Perryville; brother, LeRoy J. Elder of Perryville; sister-in-law, Stella May Elder of St. Genevieve, MO; forty-four nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Thomas G. Elder, George L. Elder, Patrick C. Elder; two sisters, Agnes Ruth Schott, Rose C. Prost.
Visitation was Monday, October 30, 2023 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Funeral Mass was Monday, October 30, 2023 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in with Rev. Charlie Prost C.M. officiating.
Entombment was at the Mary Queen of Heaven Mausoleum at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Ladies of Charity or Society of St. Vincent de Paul Building Fund.
