Melvin Howard Berkbuegler, 91, of Perryville died Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at his home.
He was born March 4, 1932 in Perryville to Edward and Theresa (Ernst) Berkbuegler.
Melvin and Arly Renaud were married September 28, 1957 at Church of the Assumption in Perryville.
He served in the United States Army and was a machinist for Bilt Best.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post 133, and Amvets.
Melvin loved camping and working on the farm.
Survivors include two sons, Duane (Mary) Berkbuegler of Perryville, Rodney (Angela) Berkbuegler of Park Hills, MO; daughter, Vickie M01ice of Perryville; two sisters, Mildred Zahner of Perryville, Gladys Renaud of Perryville; and very special friend and companion Dianne Bohnert; six grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Arly; brother, George (Ida) Berkbuegler; sister, Alma (Harold) Mattingly; granddaughter, Kacey Berkbuegler; son-in-law, Bill Morice, and two brothers-in-law, Oliver Zahner, Gene Renaud.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Visitation will continue on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 8-9:30 a.m. at Ford & Young Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 am Thursday, June 15, 2023 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with Rev. Joe Geders, C.M., officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville. Graveside military honors (to all) will be provided by American Legion Post 133 and the U.S. Army Honors Team.
