Letter to the Editor: The NFL doesn’t need any more of my money, or subscribers

To the Editor:
I guess I won’t be watching football on Thursday nights anymore. I’ll be damned if I’m going to subscribe to another media provider just for that. We have laws and regulations to curtail monopolies, but we can’t put anything in place to stop these sweet little marriages between corporations that are entered into behind closed doors. They team up for the benefit of both and expect us to buy it. The NFL already had it where you had to subscribe to the NFL Network. Now they expect us to add Amazon to increase the amount on one of the bills we must pay every month. Go ahead, NFL. We don’t have to watch it. Then your sponsors suffer. Let’s show them that, in the marketplace, the consumer drives the train. For the sake of all consumers and to rub salt in the wound they recently received in St. Louis, give up Thursday night football viewing.
