Lawrence “Larry” William Kiefer, 74, of Perryville passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at his residence.
He was born October 22, 1949 in Perry County to Leo Vincent and Lorene E. (Favier) Kiefer.
He and Celesta Yamnitz were married November 27, 1971 in Perryville. She survives in Perryville.
Lawrence served in the US Army.
Lawrence was a farmer and owner of Lawrence Kiefer Construction. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post #133 and Missouri Farm Bureau. He loved his family especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Simon (Paula) Kiefer of Texas, Jason (Angela) Kiefer of Perryville; two daughters, Pamela (Larry), Elizabeth Kiefer of Perryville; three brothers, Dale (Brenda) Kiefer of Georgia, Leo “Andy” (Doris) Kiefer of St. Louis, Bill (Mary) Kiefer of Perryville; five sisters, Leola Hayes of House Springs, MO, Evelyn Brewster of St. Mary, MO, Glenda (John) Schumer of St. Mary, MO, Linda Sue (Tom) Hoff of Perryville, Mary Ann Abernathy of St. Louis; six grandchildren, Isabel, Lauren, Katelyn, Christopher, Vivienne, Silas; and one great-granddaughter, Camila.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dan and James Kiefer; sister, Joyce Hayes.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Friday, November 10, 2023 and from 8-9:30 am on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Mass will be 10 am Saturday, November 11, 2023 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Ben Melaku C.M. officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Crown Hospice.
