Josephine “Jody” Coppaway, 89, of Perryville, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2020 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 11, 1931 in Perry County to William and Ada Rosella (Lancaster) Mowry.
Jody was a Community Service worker for the East Missouri Action Agency in Perryville for over 35 years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Jody loved helping people and she was loved by all.
Survivors include six daughters and one son, Linda Wheeler of Perryville, Marilyn (Phil) Rooker of Cape Girardeau, Carolyn Garms of St. Louis, Karen Patton of St. Louis, Connie Beckerman of Perryville, Lori Coppaway of Perryville and Scott Coppaway of Perryville, 1 Daughter-in-law, Nancy Coppaway of Gwenville, Indiana, 18 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Terry Coppaway, three brothers and 11 sisters.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, 2020 and from 6:30-10 am on Tuesday at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Service will be at 10 am Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020 at Ford & Young Funeral Home with Deacon John Darin officiating.
Burial will be at Home Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society.
