Gerald H. “Jerry” Triller, 88, of Perryville passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at his residence in Perryville.
He was born May 27, 1935 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Hugo Faustina and Christina (Buchheit) Triller.
He attended St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from St. Vincent High School in 1953.
Gerald H. “Jerry” and Marjorie A. “Margie” Unterreiner were blessed with 64 years of marriage. They were married on September 12, 1959 at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle.
Jerry was a livestock and row crop farmer and was a Sergeant in the Missouri Army National Guard. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Apple Creek, a devoted server for Mass, and to his Catholic Faith, Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Jerry was the school bus driver for St. Joseph Catholic School. He worked over 20 years at Perryville City Park Maintenance Department. Jerry was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1263, AmVets Post 94 in Perryville and Western Catholic Union. He loved fishing, Cardinals Baseball,and kettle frying fish and chicken with his family. Jerry coached baseball for his sons little league and Apple Creek church league.
Survivors include his wife, Margie, four sons, Dave (Debbie) Triller of Perryville, Danny (Judy) Triller of Fargo, ND, Terry (Stacey) Triller of O’Fallon, MO, Charlie (Dana) Triller of Perryville; daughter-in-law, Dolores Triller of Perryville; sister-in-law, Helen Triller of St. Louis; thirteen grandchildren, Josh (Rachal) Triller, Derek (Fiance Saddie Krehbiel) Triller, Payton Triller, Jessica (Tyler) Freuer, Emily (Kyle) Chenoweth, Anna (Jake) Reinholz, Janie Triller, Kyle (Heather) Triller, Lexton Triller, Rylee (Adam) Buchheit, Reece (Jordan) Hadden, Kristen (Chris) Zahner, Faith (Boyfriend Ethan Pecaut) Triller; eleven great-grandchildren, Kolsten, Mia, Beckham and Adeline Triller, Landon Reubel, Wesley and Eleanor Freuer, Tanner Buchheit, Finn Hadden, Kolbie and Kylie Zahner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Larry Triller; three brothers, Dennis, Eugene and Leon Triller; two sisters, Mary Lou Berkbigler and Bernita Light.
Visitation was Friday, October 13, 2023 and Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville. Funeral Mass was Saturday, October 14, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek with Rev. Michael Benz officiating.
Burial was at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Apple Creek.
Memorial contributions may be given to Masses, St. Joseph Parish or The Association of the Miraculous Medal.
