Denise Kay Hildebrand, age 67, lost her courageously fought battle with cancer on Thursday, June 15, 2023. She passed away with peace and dignity at her home in Spanish Lake, Missouri with family by her side.
Denise was born November 1, 1955, in Perryville, Missouri to the late Thomas Vincent “Blackie” and Shirley Ann (Baylard) Favier. She married James Hildebrand September 28, 1995, In Las Vegas, Nevada, and he survives. She is also survived by her son, Jason (Theresa) Zahner of Perryville and daughter, Jennifer (Jeff) Friedel of Bethalto, Illinois and their father, Robert Lee Zahner of Perryville. She was also blessed with four surviving granddaughters Emma Zahner, Chloe Zahner, Sierra Combs and Camryn Friedel. Other survivors include her sisters Charryl (Mark) Rudesill of Cape Girardeau, Tammy Buchheit and Michelle Brown both of Perryville, Kelli (Steve) Strubberg of Fletcher, North Carolina, and brother Kenneth Favier of Perryville. Many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends also survive.
Denise was employed as an inside sales representative for West Star Aviation for over twenty- five years prior to her recent retirement. She was a member of Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church near Spanish Lake.

She loved to travel, especially to the beach, and spend time with family and friends. But most of all, she was devoted to, and loved every minute spent with her children and grandchildren; they were the center of her universe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Allen Favier.
The funeral service for Denise was held June 21, 2023 at the Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River, Illinois with Pastor Ted Laesch of Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis County with Pastor Clifford Bischoff conducting the committal service.
