Delmar L. Besand

Delmar L. Besand, 75, of Perryville passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital.
He was born July 29, 1947 in Perryville to Conway and Catherine (Clements) Besand.
He and Jane (Meyer) Besand were married on May 27, 1972 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Delmar was an Aircraft Mechanic for Saberliner Corp. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree and was a Vietnam Veteran.
Survivors include two sons, Randy (Stacey) Besand of Webster Groves, MO, and Benjamin (Lisa) Besand of St. Peters, MO; daughter, Erin (Brian) Heathcott of Big Sandy, TN; five grandchildren, Maggie, Mollie and William Heathcott, Sophia and Scarlett Besand.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Delores Ellerbeck.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022 and from 8 -9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville. Rosary Friday at 8:30 am.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Friday, December 9, 2022 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with Rev. Joe Geders C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery in Perryville on December 9, 2022 with Military Honors provided by V.F.W. and Delta Team.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul School System or Vietnam Wall.
