Barbara Ann King, 79, of Perryville, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at Mercy Perry Hospital in Perryville.
She was born September 24, 1944 in St. Louis, to William and Alvina (Hemmer) Merz.
She and Joseph P. King were married May 20, 1967 at the Presentation Church in St. Louis. He preceded her in death January 8, 2012.
Barbara was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle and Ladies Sodality. Barbara loved cooking, reading, playing games with her grandchilden, putting puzzles together, embroidery and taking care of her yard.
Survivors include three daughters, Pamela (Duane) Tarrillion of Perryville, Paula (Marty) Ernst of Perryville, Patrice (Chad) McIver of St. Peters, MO; two, sons, Thomas (Laure Kline) King of Perryville, Mark (Jessica) King of Perryville.; nine grandchildren, Amber, Vince, Courtney, Nikolaus, Madeline, Samantha, Sara, Megan and Drew; great-grandchildren, Jayla and Brantley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Arthur and Gerald Merz .
