SV golf wins districts...again

The St. Vincent golf team went back to back. The Indians claimed the Class 1, District 1 tournament championship for the second straight season on Monday at Bent Creek Golf Course in Jackson.
St. Vincent shot a 331 on the day, which blew away the competition. Eugene shot a team score of 355 as St. Vincent won the team title by 24 strokes.
St. Vincent was led by Payton Strattman, who finished third overall individually with a score of 74.
Strattman finished three strokes off the pace as Jett Maasen from Linn and Ethan Wunderlich from Eugene each shot 71.
Sam Koishor shot 80 to finish fifth and Garrett Brickhaus shot an 83 to finish eighth. Strattman. Koishor and Brickhaus were all named all-district performers.
Adam Brickhaus finished 24th with a score of 94, while Logan Hornberger shot a 99 to finish 34th.
St. Vincent will now travel to the state meet May 13-14 in Joplin.
