SV baseball cruises past Oak Ridge in five innings

The St. Vincent offense powered up as it cruised to a victory.
St. Vincent baseball rebounded from a tough ending to the Oak Ridge Tournament to beat the host of that tournament 10-0 on Tuesday.
St. Vincent overpowered Oak Ridge from the start as they scored four runs in the first inning to jump out to a big lead.
The Indians took advantage of three walks and an error to score those four runs.
Christian Schaaf doubled home a pair of runs, while Jacob Seabaugh drove home a run on a RBI groundout. Jacob Hennemann singled home the final run of the inning.
That was all the run support that starter Nick Buchheit needed as he was masterful pitching all five innings, allowing two hits with four walks and six strikeouts.
The Indians added a run in the third inning, and salted away the game n the fifth with a five spot.
Liam Krauss and Kaden Kassel had back-to-back doubles to score two runs. Seabaugh was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and the Indians capped the game with an error that scored two runs.
Schaaf and Kruass led the Indians with two hits apiece.
