In the interest of public safety, Perry County is under a “No Burn Advisory” until further notice.
This advisory impacts all of Perry County, and the incorporated municipalities.
Extreme heat across the region, little rainfall and gusty winds prompted the Perry County Commission to issue the advisory on Monday, June 26 after discussions with local law enforcement, emergency management and leadership from local municipalities regarding the lack of precipitation forecasted for the region. Perry County has had approximately one inch of rainfall in the last month.
