Mary Lou Petot, 72, of Perryville died Saturday, July 24, 2021 at her residence. She was born Feb. 16, 1949 in St. Louis to Oswald “Wally” and Doris Marie (Baker) Pingel.
Mary was a cosmetologist at the J.C. Penney Salon. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary volunteer and voluteered for the CHAMPS mentoring program. She was a charter member of the Perryville Autumn Chicks.
Survivors include two sons, Allan D. Petot, Jr. and Mark W. (Julie) Petot; a daughter, Christa M. (Aaron) Bryan; two sisters, Carolyn Kipp and Nancy Caldejon; 11 grandchildren, Chandra Petot, Courtney Kiefer, Caressa Petot, Emelia Petot, Zack Petot, Alyssa Petot, Maddie Petot, Max Petot, Luke Petot, Aiden Bryan and Tyson Bryan; and one great-granddaughter, Elsie Petot. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Saturday, Aug. 7 for memorial Mass at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Ben Melaku C.M. officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent School System or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
