An open house at the Mineral Area College Perryville Higher Education Center will be held Wednesday, August 2, from noon until 6 pm. Michelle Hadler, the director of the Center, along with other friendly staff members, will be on hand to give tours of the historic building, answer questions, enroll students and help new students with the admissions process. Interested students, as well as their families, are encouraged to attend the Open House.
The Higher Education Center is located at 108 South Progress Drive. The Perry County Historical Society office and the Military History Museum, both located at the Higher Education Center, will also be open during the August 2 event.
The fall semester for Mineral Area College (MAC) begins on Monday, August 21.

It is not too late to apply and enroll in classes for the fall semester. The general education classes required for an associate degree through MAC are offered at the Perryville Higher Education Center; online classes are also available.
“We encourage all students considering furthering their education to explore what the Perryville Higher Education Center has to offer,” Hadler said. “With many class options available, students can fit their education into their busy schedules, and stay close to home, while pursuing their goals. The local MAC campus continues to help students as an engaged institution in our community.”
Those with questions are encouraged to call the office at 573-547-4143 for assistance.
