Dear Editor:
President Trump bribed another country to do him a personal “favor.’’ The favor was to announce an investigation into the “Bidens.” He withheld $400 million of military aid that Congress had approved.
Bribery is a crime listed in our Constitution as a reason for impeachment.
President Trump has no respect for our Constitution or our laws. He really believes he is above the law.
Poor Jason Smith, our U.S. Representative, he says President Trump did nothing wrong. Of course, bribery is a crime.
The President didn’t do this for the good of our country, he did it to try and smear the reputation of Joe Biden.
We need better leadership and the Republicans need to remember who they are, or at least who they used to be — a party that valued truth, the constitution and our laws.
