The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal will host the first Lighting the Way to Hope Tree Lighting event on Sunday, Dec. 1 on the Shrine grounds in Perryville.
The event will begin with the Vincentian Marion Youth Mass at 5:30 p.m. followed by the tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. with Advent and Christmas carols.
Hot chocolate and cookies will be served.
Visitors are ask to bring one non-perishable item to donate to the Ladies of Charity Food Pantry.
