SV, Saxony track perform well at state

There were several local athletes who competed in the Class 2 state meet in Jefferson City on May 17-18.
To say that they competed well would be an understatement.
Several St. Vincent Indians and Saxony Lutheran Crusaders won their respective events in grand fashion.
One of those was St. Vincent sophomore Reagan Meyer who was first in the 800-meter run (2:18.94) and the 1,600 meter run (5:16.61)
For Saxony senior John Hartmann, he finished his one and only track season with a state championship in the high jump (6-6.25).
Other finishes for Saxony include a sixth place finish for Casey Call in the pole vault, while Abigail Haley finished 11th in the 300-meter hurdles (49.02) and 12th in the 100 meter hurdles (17.14 seconds). Rebecca Yunck finished 15th in the javelin event.
For St. Vincent,Meyer finished fourth in the 400-meter dash (58.88 seconds)
Clayton Gremaud finished seventh in the 400 meter dash (51.59), which Jacob Schremp finished sixth in the discus and ninth in the shot put.
