A rematch from earlier this season will kick off the holiday tournament for the Indians and Crusaders. St. Vincent is seeded four and Saxony Lutheran fifth in the 12th annual Warrior Winter Classic at Valle Catholic High School.
Those seedings mean that the two schools will face off in the opening round at 3 p.m. on Dec. 27. The Indians and Crusaders met earlier this season in the Rolla “Duke” Herbert tournament with St. Vincent coming out on top 49-36 on Nov. 30.
It has been an up and down season for both teams as St. Vincent (4-4) has beaten Chaffee and Scott City, but fell to Waterloo in overtime in the Border War on Dec. 17. Saxony Lutheran (2-5) has lost five of its last six games, but three of those losses have been by 10 points or less.
The winner of the game will take on the victory top seed Kingston and eight seed St. Paul on Dec. 28. Kingston defeated St. Paul 77-49 on Dec. 8

Kingston (6-2) is the top seed in the tournament and has won three of its last four games. The only loss was a four-point defeat at the hands of Herculaneum on Dec. 13. Kingston won the tournament over Seckman 70-61 last season as the three seed.
Saxony Lutheran took third in the tournament last season, while St. Vincent fell to Valle Catholic 65-62 in the opening round and played in the fifth place game.
Kingston is the aforementioned top seed, as Valle Catholic is seeded second. Seckman is third, while Fox is sixth. Valley Park and St. Paul round out the seedings.
The tournament runs from Dec. 27-29.
