While St. Vincent wasn’t able to score in the first half of Friday’s away game against Hayti, they were able to get a kickoff return on the third quarter’s opening play and went on to win against the Hayti team 35-0.

Clayton Gremaud gave SV a 6-0 lead only 12 seconds into the third quarter.

Only minutes later, quarterback Nick Buchheit connected with John Schwartz, making a 43-yard touchdown reception and giving St. Vincent a 14-0 advantage with 6:55 left in the quarter. Cruz Rietzel then moved the score to 21-0 with a 20-yard TD scamper with 3:23 to go in the third quarter.

Following a turnover on downs by Hayti, St. Vincent soon found itself in the end zone once more, thanks to a 27-yard run made by Jack Seabaugh.

Reitzel put a cherry on the top of St. Vincent’s string of touchdowns with a 3-yard run in the final seconds of the game.

Quarterback/placekicker Nick Buchheit made five-for-five on extra-point attempts in the game.

St. Vincent, with a 5-0 record for the season, will host Bayless on Friday.
