Soccer
– The Perryville Pirates’ varsity soccer team won the following games: Sept.10 – Windsor (Imperial), 5-1; Sept. 11 – North County, 7-0; Sept. 17 – Festus, 10-0; and Sept. 19 at Festus, 10-0. At the Hannibal Pirate Tournament held Sept. 13-14, the team won against Troy Buchanan and Hannibal, 4-3. They lost 0-5 against Hickman.
Softball
– The Perryville Lady Pirates’ varsity softball team won 6-5 in its Sept. 10 game against Sikeston; lost 0-12 in its Sept. 12 game against Hillsboro; lost 6-7 in its Sept. 16 game against Kelly; lost 7-8 in its Sept. 17 game against Herculaneum with Crystal City and won their Sept. 19 game against Jefferson (Festus) 19-7.
Volleyball
– In its Sept.16 game against Notre Dame, the Lady Pirates lost in four sets: 17-25, 25-20, 11- 25 and 18-25. Stat leaders were Paige Berkbigler-17 assists, 2 aces; Ellie Gerler-8 kills, 4 digs; Jewel Riney-35 digs; Allyson Burns-7 assists, 17-digs; and Maria Mattingly-5 kills.
– In its Sept. 17 game against Windsor, the Lady Pirates lost in three sets: 15-25, 24-26, 25-22 and 18-25. Stat leaders were Ellie Gerler-7 kills, 4 blocks; Paige Berkbigler-19 assists, 11 digs, 1 block, 2 kills; Charli Gerler-6 kills, 5 blocks, 2 aces, 6 digs; Jewel Riney-10 digs; Allyson Burns-3 assists, 3 blocks, 1 ace; Maria Mattingly-5 kills, 1 block; and Emma Blechle-5 kills, 2 digs.
– The Lady Pirates lost in four sets in its Sept. 23 game against R-7. State leaders were Paige Berkbigler-23 assists, 7 kills, 22 digs, 2 blocks; Allyson Burns-22 assists, 2 kills, 25 digs; Maria Mattingly-9 kills, 4 blocks, 6 digs; Emma Blechle-13 kills, 25 digs; Charli Gerler-6 kills, 2 blocks, 13 digs; and Ellie Gerler-9 kills.
Softball
– The Lady Indians softball team lost its Sept. 12 game against Chaffee, 2-5; its Sept. 17 game against Fredericktown, 1-10; and its Sept. 19 game against Kelly, 1-6.
Volleyball
– The Lady Indians volleyball team won its Sept. 17 game against Crystal City 3-0 and its Sept. 23 game against Valle Catholic 2-0. It lost its Sept. 18 game against Notre Dame (Cape) 0-3 and its Sept. 19 game against Jefferson (Festus) 2-3.
Football
– The Crusaders JV team won 27-22 against Ste. Genevieve at an away game.
Volleyball
– The Crusaders went 3-0-1 in their opening four matches at the recent Dig For Life Tournament, as they went 3-0-1 in their opening four matches.
– Saxony Lutheran beat Thayer, Seckman, and Central (Park Hills) each by 2-0 margins and tied MSHSAA Class 3 District 1 foe Dexter 1-1.
Soccer
Saxony Lutheran boys’ soccer team ended its losing streak in an incredible come-from-behind 3-2 victory against Notre Dame.
