Saxony Lutheran High School and St. Vincent High School are partnering for the upcoming Men’s soccer season through a newly established co-op agreement.
The collaboration, pending approval by the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA), is designed to provide continued athletic opportunities for students while strengthening the soccer program.
St. Vincent initiated the conversation with Saxony Lutheran High School to explore the possibility of combining teams for this upcoming school year. Saxony Lutheran welcomed the partnership, and the schools moved forward to establish a cooperative Men’s soccer team.
Saxony Lutheran High School will serve as the host school, providing all coaching staff, facilities for practices, and hosting home games. Student-athletes from both schools will compete together under the Saxony Lutheran Crusader name and banner.
“We’re excited to partner with St. Vincent and welcome their athletes into our soccer program,” said Saxony Lutheran activities director Mike Vipperman. “This is a great opportunity to strengthen our soccer program as well as allow St Vincent to participate while fostering sportsmanship across both schools.
“Last year. Saxony also provided a co-op agreement for fall softball that was very successful, so we are looking forward to continuing that relationship to see more opportunities for all student athletes.”
“We’re thankful to Saxony Lutheran for their collaboration,” said St. Vincent athletic director Jack Rigdon. “This co-op ensures that our boys can play soccer and continue to have a strong, competitive environment where they can grow and succeed.”
Saxony Lutheran is preparing for its first season together this fall, with high expectations for a successful and united campaign.
Saxony Lutheran High School currently has 260 students and is excited to start the 2025-2026 school year with a record enrollment for the incoming freshman class.
