Robert Dennis McDonald, 70, of Perryville, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at his residence.
He was born April 29, 1954 in Festus to Woodrow and Lucille (Hayes) McDonald. Robert and Kimberly Porter were married June 22, 1974 at the Methodist Church in Perryville.
They were blessed with 50 years of marriage. She survives him in Perryville. He was of the Methodist Faith.
Robert enjoyed hunting, growing and planting flowers. He loved spending time with his family. Survivors include son, Robert “Robbie” McDonald, Jr.; brother, Woody McDonald; four sisters, Alberta Johnson, Joyce Walton, Saddie Linderer, Jerry Chapman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father & mother-in-law, Charles & Anna Mae Porter; two brothers, Raymond McDonald, Phillip McDonald; two sisters, Betty Kent, Sandy DeClue.
Visitation was held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville and continued Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the funeral home.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Cedar Fork Methodist Church in Perry County with Reggie Darnell officiating.
Burial was at Cedar Fork Cemetery in Perry County. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
