Renee M. Markwell, 53, of Wichita, Kansas, formerly of Perryville, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 1, 2024 at her residence.
She was born June 2, 1970 in Perryville, to Melvin J. and Anna M. (Stortz) Brown.
Renee and Jay A. Markwell were married April 27, 1991.
She was baptized in the Catholic faith and a member of the VFW Post 4282 Auxiliary, AmVets Post #94 Auxiliary in Perryville.
She was a home maker and a para professional teacher at Maize Elementary School in Maize, KS. Renee enjoyed playing bingo, going camping and traveling. She loved her dogs but mostly spending time with her family and friends. Renee was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her parents, Melvin and Anna Brown; husband, Jay A. Markwell; son, Arron (friend Rylee) Markwell of Wichita, KS; daughter, Lillian Keil of Lakewood, WA; step-daughter, Kristina Markwell of Perryville; step-son, Anthony Markwell of Perryville; three brothers and one sister, Kevin (Mary) Brown of Ste. Genevieve, MO, Cheryl (Kim) Bey of Festus, MO, Greg (Mary Ann) Brown of Perryville, Jerry (Kristie) Brown of Perryville; one grandson, Elijah Markwell.
