Perryville High School honored 15 Academic All-State athletes at the school board’s regular June meeting. Six track athletes and nine baseball athletes were honored.
To qualify for the All-State academic track team, athletes must have competed in an official MSHAA state series, have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.6, an ACT score of 25 or higher or a SAT score of 1150 or higher, and must be nominated by their head coach.
Track athletes honored were; Lucas Bucheit, Jacob Goehman, Micah Brown, Destyn Morgan, Paula Sticht, and Kaygen Stell.
To qualify for academic All-State in baseball, athletes must be on the varsity roster, have a minimum grade point average of 3.5, have either an ACT score of 24 or above, attendance of 95 percent or higher, or be in the top 25 percent of their class, and be nominated by their head coach.
Baseball athletes honored were; Nolan Behrle, Lane Yamnitz, Gavin Mayor, Jack Daugherty, Waylon Huber, Parker Shelton, Bryce Weber, Barrett Wheeler, and Gideon Stueve.
