A Perryville woman suffered what were described as moderate injuries Wednesday night when her car ran off the road on Interstate 55 north of Perryville.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Tonya M. Bruce, 45, was traveling south on I-55 when her car traveled off the left side of the road and struck the cable barrier in the median.
The accident happened at approximately 7:48 p.m. at the 136.6 mile marker south of the Hwy. T overpass.
The report indicated Bruce was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident and was transported by Perry County Ambulance to Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville for treatment.
Her vehicle, described as a 2004 Chevrolet, was determined to be a total loss and was towed from the scene by Perry County Towing.
