Multiple Pirate athletes commit to play at college level

A few Perryville athletes made the move to the next level.
Perryville senior guard Kyla Schnurbusch committed to Culver-Stockton as part of National Signing Day Feb. 1.
Schnurbusch leads the Pirates in scoring this season at 19.6 points per game. She has put up multiple 30-point performances this season, helping the Pirates to a 14-7 record so far this year. Schurbusch was named the JCAA Large School Co-Player of the Year as a junior when she averaged 11 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Schnurbusch was one of two players signed as part of Culver-Stockton’s class in the second signing period.
Culver-Stockton is currently 15-8 this season and is 10-7 within its conference.
Perryville seniors Ethan Blythe and Tyler Rhyne committed to Missouri Baptist football during National Signing Day on Feb. 1.

Rhyne was named as an honorable mention athlete in the I-55 Conference this past season with 199 total yards and one touchdown, while contributing 43 tackles on defense.
Blythe was an honorable mention tight end in the I-55 Conference after catching 14 passes for 157 yards and one touchdown.
Blythe and Rhyne are part of a 30-player signing class for the Spartans during the second signing period.
Missouri Baptist is an NAIA program that recently moved to the American Midwest Conference and went 4-7 during thee 2022 season.
Perryville midfielder Carson Adams committed to play at Southwest Illinois Community College. Adams was named first team all state this past season, along with numerous conference and district honors.
He scored 11 goals and was first on the team in assists with 12. He helped lead the Pirates to a 15-10 record in the fall.
