The Perry County Senior Center is reminding seniors that Medicare Open Enrollment takes place from Tuesday, Oct. 15 through Saturday, Dec. 7 this year.
There will be several opportunities at the senior center on specific Wednesdays to meet with a Missouri State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) counselor. They provide free, unbiased Medicare counseling for seniors in comparing plans, checking coverage and determining lower costs.
The first available date is Nov. 13 10:45 a.m., for which no appointment is required. This is first-come, first-serve and spaces fill up fast. Seniors should arrive early to get their name on the list for open enrollment assistance.
Appointments are available on Nov. 6, Nov. 20 and Dec. 4 by calling Andrea Southard at 573-579-1170.
