Matthew Louis Buerck, 48 of Perryville, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away at his home on July 8, 2023 in Perryville.
He was born on October 15, 1974, in Ste Genevieve, Missouri, to Michael L. Buerck and Karen S. Bruckerhoff
Matthew and Stacy (Deweese) Buerck began their journey together on February 27, 1995 in Perryville, where they exchanged vows in marriage. Matthew and Stacy were kindred spirits, each bringing out the best in the other. Their love was a celebration of life itself, and their presence in each other’s lives made every moment brighter. They possessed an innate ability to find joy in every moment together. She survives him Perryville.
He worked as a manager for many years at TG Missouri in Perryville.
Matthew had a deep love for fishing and exploring the numerous creeks of the Perryville area in his side by side. He enjoyed listening to audio books on YouTube and loved the Lethal Weapon series. Matthew poured his heart and soul into raising his children and he reveled in the joy of witnessing them grow into remarkable individuals. One of his greatest joys was found in his role as a grandfather. His grandson, Kobe, held a special place in his heart. They shared countless adventures together, playing Ninja and embarking on treasure hunts. Kobe lovingly called him “Pop,” a name that captured the affection and admiration they had for one another. Matthew’s legacy will continue to live on through the memories they created together. Matthew will forever be remembered for his kind heart and unwavering love for his family.

He is survived by his wife; father, Michael L. (Barb) Buerck; mother, Karen S. Bruckerhoff; son, Noah Matthew of Perryville; daughter, Katelyn Deshae (Dylan) Vernon of Perryville; brother, Cory (Amber) Buerck of Maryland Heights, MO; two sisters, Heather (Keith) Perreault of Cape Girardeau, and Katie (Sam) McGinty of Cape Girardeau; mother-in-law, Sue Deweese; grandson, Kobe Vernon; nieces, Ella, Nora, B, Faith, Grace, Mila and Hazel; nephews, Josh, Justin, Michael, Carter and Rowan.
A memorial service will be held from 3-7 pm on Friday July 14, 2023 at Ford & Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
