Louis E. “Lou” Luster, born April 18, 1934, in DeQueen, Ark., passed away Friday, September 13, 2024.

The beloved son of the late James and Sallie Luster, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Anna (Luster) Hickman (nee Campbell).

Lou was the beloved father of Lewis Luster of South St. Louis County, Sabrena (Daniel) Olson of House Springs and Carla Luster of DeSoto; dear grandfather of Kristin Olson Robbins, Jessica (Tim) Meeks, Laura (Jason) Hilton, Molly (Chris) Meyers, Mary Anna Stubbs and Robby Stubbs; and the dear great-grandfather of Dylan, Andrew, Brooke, Caleigh, Kinsley, LeAnna, Kyler and Lincoln.

Lou was the youngest of 14 siblings, all of whom have gone on before him. He was our dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and a member of the Perryville Eagles, Perryville American Legion and was a frequent patron of “The Spillway.”

Visitation was held from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis.

The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, with interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
