Lorna Wilhelmine Bergdolt, 90, of Perryville passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023 at Independence Care Center in Perryville.
She was born February 8, 1933 in Lowden, IA to Paul and Selma (Licht) Kruckenberg.
She was baptized on February 26, 1933 and confirmed on April 4, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Lowden, IA.
Lorna graduated from Trinity Lutheran Grade School and Lowden Public High School in Lowden, IA.
Lorna and Waldemar Bergdolt were married June 18, 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden, IA.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville since 1986 where she was an active member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Adult Choir, Chancel Guild, and a food pantry volunteer.
Lorna worked at American Trust and Savings Bank in Lowden, IA, Linn Community Nursing Home in Linn, KS, and Perry Oaks Nursing Home in Perryville.
She loved her grandchildren and visits from her family and their children, family devotions and singing with her husband Waldemar and family members. Lorna enjoyed attending music events, making quilts, embroidery and activities of the grandchildren. She loved growing flowers, especially African Violets.

Survivors include two sons, Karl (Rebecca) Bergdolt of Grand Island, NE, Kurt (Kate) Bergdolt of Lincoln, NE; two daughters, Kathryn (Keith) Kirby of Stewardson, IL, Karol (Kelly) Bailey of Ballwin, MO; twelve grandchildren, Aaron (Kaitlyn Wing) Kirby, Ethan Kirby, Lara Bergdolt, Carolyn Bergdolt, Elizabeth (Erik) Fuerniss, Jacob Bergdolt, Timothy Bergdolt, Natalie (Austin) Wright, Hannah Bergdolt, Lydia Bailey, Josiah Bailey, Naomi Bailey.
She was preceded in death by father, Paul Kruckenberg; mother, Selma Kruckenberg; four brothers, Merlon Kruckenberg, Norbert Kruckenberg, George Kruckenberg, Robert Kruckenberg; two sisters, Roberta Kruckenberg, Leanne Sellnau; sister-in-law, Bonnie Kruckenberg; brother-in-law, Leonard Sellnau.
Visitation will be from 8-10 am on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
Funeral Service will be at 10 am Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville with Rev. Matthew Marks officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville or the Lutheran Hour Ministries.
