Larry Wayne Hudson, 86, of Perryville, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born March 4, 1937 in St. Louis to Jos. Chalmer and Dora (Geile) Hudson.
Larry worked for General Motors in St. Louis, MO for 32 years. After retirement he purchased two dump trucks and enjoyed hauling rock and dirt. He had a campground in Silver Lake that he loved and spent a lot of time there. He also enjoyed riding around in his John Deere side by side, drawing, sketching and painting.
He was a 32nd degree Mason at the Bridgeton Masonic Temple Lodge #80 in Bridgeton, MO.
Survivors include son, Kenneth R. (Patty) Hudson of Perryville, MO; daughter, Kim Hudson-Weinhold of Perryville; two sisters, JoAnn Lane of Perryville, Edna (Norman) Greene of Perryville; three grandchildren, Aaron Hudson, Josh (Stephanie) Hudson, Leslie (John) Weinhold-Stone; eight great-grandchildren, Bryce Hudson, Makayla Hudson, Kaitlynne Hudson, Reece Hudson, Cooper Hudson, Reagan Stone, Charlie Stone, Sadie Stone; two great great-grandchildren, Rozlynn and Alfred Waggoner, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roland Hudson; sister, Juanita “Sis” Vernon; longtime partner, Shirley Balsman.
