Lady Indians dominate DeSoto

DE SOTO — St. Vincent overwhelmed De Soto on March 27, scoring early and often in a 10-0 victory over the host Lady Dragons.

The Lady Indians wasted little time taking control, erupting for 10 goals in the first half to build a commanding lead. St. Vincent maintained pressure throughout and cruised through the second half to secure the shutout.

Lana Adams led the offensive outburst with 4 goals and 3 assists, pacing a balanced attack that produced scoring opportunities across the lineup. Sloane Wibbenmeyer added 2 goals and an assist, while Kinley Boxdorfer, Aubrey Emmendorfer, Emma Moore and Morgan Schnurbusch each contributed a goal.

St. Vincent moved the ball efficiently in the attacking third, generating consistent chances and capitalizing on them throughout the opening half.

Defensively, the Lady Indians were just as sharp.

Chloe House recorded the shutout in goal, playing 40 minutes as St. Vincent limited De Soto’s offensive opportunities and controlled possession for much of the match.

The Lady Indians dictated the tempo from the opening minutes, combining aggressive play with strong ball movement to keep the pressure on De Soto’s defense.

ST. VINCENT 8, CAPE CENTRAL 0

CAPE GIRARDEAU — St. Vincent delivered a dominant performance March 24, controlling play from start to finish in an 8-0 victory over Cape Girardeau Central.

Lana Adams led the offensive surge with 4 goals, accounting for half of St. Vincent’s scoring output. Sloane Wibbenmeyer added 3 goals, while Emma Moore also found the net as the Lady Indians produced a balanced and efficient attack.

SPRINGFIELD CATHOLIC 6, ST. VINCENT 4

ROLLA — St. Vincent closed out play at the Bluefish Soccer Invitational with a high-scoring battle March 21.

Springfield Catholic used a strong second half to defeat the Lady Indians 6-4, handing St. Vincent its first loss of the season.

Lana Adams led the Lady Indians with 2 goals and an assist, while Grace Jenneman, Morgan Schnurbusch and Sloane Wibbenmeyer each added a goal.

St. Vincent had opened the tournament with 2 wins earlier March 20, defeating Union 3-0 and Washington 3-1, but was unable to complete the sweep.
