James J. Farrar, 72, of Perryville passed away Monday, Sept.12, 2022 at his residence.
He was born February 26, 1950 in Cape Girardeau to Frank and Iola (Clements) Farrar.
He and Charlotte Bohnert were married July 17, 1971 at Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown. She survives him in Perryville.
Jim served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and also was in the Naval Reserves.
He was a Paramedic and Disaster Preparedness Coordinator for Perry County Memorial Hospital.
Jim loved fishing, hunting, golfing and farming.
Survivors include son, Brian Farrar; daughter, Magen (Brandon Owens) Farrar; two sisters, Mary (Kevin) Brown, Karen (Kevin) Clifton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tahnee Farrar; two brothers, Eugene Farrar, Michael Farrar; sister, Catherine (Farrar) Unterreiner.
Visitation will be from 8:30-10:30 am on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Burial will be at Shiloh Lutheran Cemetery in Farrar.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Shiloh Lutheran Cemetery.
