Immanuel Lutheran to host ‘Honoring Our Heroes’ lucheon

The Immanuel Lutheran “Spirit Within Series” committee will hold their 8th Annual “Honoring Our Heroes” Luncheon on Thursday, July 4th, 2024 at 12 Noon in the Immanuel Lutheran Multi-purpose building located at 225 W. South St in Perryville, MO
The theme this year is “The Meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance”. Twelve dedicated committee members and many more volunteers help to put together a meal and program each year. The program will be led by “Uncle Sam” portrayed by Lee Unterreiner. The American Legion Honor Guard will present the colors, several groups will provide music, and special guest, Ray Lynn Munoz, the new executive director of the MNVM, will share updates on the MNVM. A great meal of chicken and dumplings, pulled pork, grilled chicken, hash brown potato casserole, green beans, slaw, desserts and drinks will be served by members of the committee and the Scouts.

The SWS committee invites all Veterans, Active Servicemen/Women, Perryville Police officers, Perry County Sheriff’s Department, Perry County Ambulance Service, Perryville Fire Department and the Perry County Rural Fire Protection Association to a FREE luncheon. FREE TICKETS are available at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Office, Monday-Friday from 8 am to 4 pm until Wednesday, June 26. Tickets are Free for a Hero and a guest. The committee encourages all who want to attend to get their tickets early because seating is limited to 250.
The Spirit Within Series Committee enjoys doing this event each year so they can thank all the Heroes of Perryville and Perry County for their service to our country and our community.
