Ernest E. Hahn, 71, of Perryville, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Independence Care Center of Perry County. Ernest was the only son of eleven children and brother to ten sisters.
He was born October 20, 1952 in Perryville. to Earl Edgar and Velma Marie (McClure) Hahn in Perryville and was a lifelong resident of Perryville.
He was employed nearly forty years by Gilster Mary Lee. Ernest remained unmarried and was extremely attentive and supportive to family and friends. After retirement, Ernest devoted his time to gardening and other hobbies, including his interest in ancestry and family heritage, particularly American Indian artifacts.
Survivors include ten sisters, Shirley Christisen, Ruth McAtee, Connie Hahn, Frieda Abernathy, Helen Schremp, Carol Hahn, Donna Hahn, Lucille Picou, Joan Loida and Laura Buck; one aunt, Stella (McClure) Whitson; nine nephews; six nieces; sixteen great nephews; eleven great nieces and one great-great nephew. Ernest will be greatly missed by family, friends and acquaintances.
He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Carl and Della McClure; paternal grandparents, Henry and Mary Julia Hahn and multiple aunts, uncles, cousins and brothers-in-law.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Friday, January 19, 2024 and from 8-10 am on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Service will be at 10 am Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Deacon John Darin officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association.
