Dorothy M. Pilz

Dorothy M. Pilz, 95, of Frohna, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Independence Care Center in Perryville.
She was born January 20, 1928 in New Wells, MO to Eugene and Clara (Gerler) Starzinger.
Dorothy and Clarence Pilz were married April 17, 1949 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells, MO. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1974.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, an honorary member of LWML, and past member of Immanuel Lutheran Altenburg Ladies Aid.
Dorothy was a home maker and known for her german potato salad. She enjoyed playing pinochle and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
Survivors include son, Michael (Lois) Pilz of Frohna; two daughters, Faye (Robert) Kasten of Altenburg, MO, Peggy (Daniel) Leible of Frohna, MO; five grandchildren, Ashley Pilz, Eric (Alice) Kasten, Brooke (Greg) Wibbenmeyer, Christopher (Kelly) Leible, Heather (Travis) Mueller.

She was preceded in death by her parents ; husband, Clarence Pilz; infant son; sister, Ruby Hecht; grandchild, Chad Kasten.
Visitation was Monday, January 22, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg.
Funeral Service was Monday, January 22, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg with Rev. Frank Lucas officiating.
Burial was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery Altenburg.
Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg or Crown Hospice.
