Chamber announces election results

The Perryville area Chamber of Commerce announced the results of its recent board of direction election Oct. 23.
Those elected to three-year spots on the board were Jamie Robinson of T.G. Missouri (industry category), Brandie Mantz of the Perry County Community Task Force (at-large category) and Emily Blyzes of Cricket Wireless Gateway (retail category).
Robinson has worked at T.G. for nearly 29 years, holding jobs in engineering, quality and management. At this time, he is an assistant general manager.
Robinson is the secretary/treasurer on the Chamber board. He also serves on the Perry County School District No. 32 Board of Education for the past five years as well as the school board at Immanuel Lutheran School.

Mantz has been with the Perry County Community Task force for 15 years, and has served as the director for the past six years.
Mantz volunteers with the Perryville Fire Department, serving as secretary and also serves on the Immanuel PTL Board as vice president.
Blyzes works as an area manager for Cricket’s Perryville, Carbondale and DuQuoin locations. She has been in the wireless retail industry for more than a decade and a half. She is married to Billy. Emily enjoys traveling, camping and drinking coffee on her front porch.
Additional candidates for the recent election were Gregory Yamnitz of First State Community Bank and Sheila Schilling of Pepsi Mid-America.
