This weekend, the Twisted Cat Outdoors catfish tournament returns, as well as the first annual outdoor expo.
The weekend begins Friday evening, with the captains meeting prior to Saturday’s tournament. The meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Warehouse. The anglers competing in the tournament will be meeting with the public, and selling merchandise.
Anglers will have from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to reel in the biggest fish they can. Spots for the tournament have sold out, so a full field is expected. Last year’s first place team reeled in a fish weighing 165.07 pounds.
Thousands of dollars in prizes will be awarded to the teams that reel in the biggest fish.
The outdoor expo, a free event featuring local vendors at the American Legion, will begin at 9 a.m Saturday and run until 6 p.m. featuring a variety of outdoor exhibits, including displays on archery, fishing gear, outdoor furniture, and swimming pools.
At 3:30 p.m., the official weigh in for the Twisted Cat Catfish Tournament will be at the downtown square.
