A 67-41 road loss against Cardinal Ritter ended a 10-game winning streak for the Lady Indians basketball team in St. Louis on Monday night and capped the regular season for the team.
Led by Kate Rubel, the Lady Indians scored 17 points, and her twin sister, Brie, scored 13 points. The team shot 13 of 36 from the field, including 1 of 10 from the three-point line.
Despite the loss, St. Vincent comes to the Class 2 District 2 Tournament with a 22-3 record, which is its best since it won a district title in 2023 with a 24-4 win-loss record.
St. Vincent awaits the winner between Charleston and Puxico on Tuesday. Winning in the semifinals will put things in place for the Lady Indians with a district title game on Saturday between Chaffee and Meadow Heights.
