SIKESTON — The Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo will return Wednesday through Saturday, Aug. 5–8, 2026, with organizers announcing that fast-emerging country and Southern rock artist Blake Whiten will take the stage as the Thursday night entertainer.
Whiten, 20, of Six Mile, S.C., has quickly gained attention in the country music world for his raspy vocals, Southern rock edge, and storytelling style rooted in traditional country influences. His breakout single, Rollin’ Stone, has surpassed 25 million streams, helping launch his debut EP, Six Mile, which has accumulated more than 40 million streams across major music platforms.
“Blake represents the next generation of country music — authentic, high-energy, and deeply connected to his roots,” said Issac Quick, 2026 general chairman of the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo. “Fans are going to love this show.”
Whiten’s performance is part of a growing 2026 entertainment lineup that includes Tucker Wetmore on Wednesday night and Hudson Westbrook on Friday. The Saturday night headliner will be announced at a later date.
