The PHS Silver Dagger Players will bring high-seas adventure to the stage later this month with their production of Treasure Island, set for April 16-18 at the Perry Park Center Theatre.
Performances will take place Thursday, April 16; Friday, April 17; and Saturday, April 18, with each show beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 and will be available at the door.
Directed by Jennifer Birk-Cook, the production is an adaptation of the classic novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. The story follows young Jim Hawkins as he is swept into a dangerous and thrilling treasure hunt alongside a crew of pirates led by the infamous Long John Silver.
Filled with action, suspense and larger-than-life characters, the play promises an engaging experience for audiences of all ages. While the production includes some staged swordplay and simulated violence using obviously fake weapons, it is expected to be suitable for most children, generally those in third grade and older, depending on the child.
