William Petot

William “Bill” Petot, 91, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at his residence.
He was born May 26, 1932 in Belgique, to John and Flora (Boxdorfer) Petot.
Bill and Betty L. Vernon were married June 23, 1961.
He was self employed as a grave digger. Bill was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Crosstown and the Perry County Saddle Club. He enjoyed riding horses, raising his chickens and farming. Bill never met a stranger.
Survivors include son, David (Lori) Petot; three step-daughters, Brenda Herrington; Susan (Al) Lozier, Pam Pohlman; two sisters, Iva Sandlin, Alleen (Vallie) Janet.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty L. Petot; four brothers, Harold, Harry, Harvey, John Jr.; one sister, Marie.

Visitation will at 4-8 pm on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville and will continue on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 8-10 am.
Funeral Service will be at 10 am Friday, December 22, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Deacon John Darin officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to Diabetes Foundation or St. James Catholic Cemetery in Crosstown.
