The Owensboro, Ky.-based team of Damian Clark, Anthony Raber and James Raber claimed first place in the third annual Twisted Cat Outdoors Perryville catfish tournament, checking in on the downtown square with a three-fish
total weight of 116.8 pounds and earning $7,200. A total of 61 teams and 154 anglers from 14 states competed in the tournament, part of the Twisted Cat Outdoors Fishing Series. Anglers were permitted to fish anywhere on the Mississippi River between the 1-255 bridge to the north and the I-57 bridge to the south, putting at any one of several ramps between those two spots. After the tournament, 31 big fish weighing 642.8 pounds altogether, were released back into the river. Total weight of fish caught during the one-day event was 1,163.9 pounds.
