Boston Tarrillion, the son of Waylon and Kaci Richardet, is more than a little excited to play football for The University of Central Missouri (UCM) this fall. After signing his letter of intent on Feb. 5 in the St. Vincent High School Library, Tarrillion and his parents took a few moments to talk about his successful high school career and his move up to playing college ball in the fall.
“I made the agreement this week, like Monday, but I went there Saturday on a visit,” Tarrillion said. “It feels good to be playing college football this fall. I know it’s going to be a lot harder, but it’s always been my dream.
His mother Kaci said, “I’m extremely proud. Like he said, this has always been his dream — the one dream he knew he was sure of. I’m just proud of him that he set his mind to it and he got it done. Now he’s going to see what it’s all about. He can say that he did it. He made it this far and I’m really proud of him.”
Tarrillion’s father, Waylon, was equally proud of his son’s accomplishment.
“He put a lot of hard work in through high school,” Richardet said. “His dream all along was to try to get an opportunity to play somewhere. I’m very grateful that the Mules have given him that opportunity with a good program and a winning program. We’re very excited that he will get the opportunity to play."
Asked if anyone had anything else to add about Tarrillion’s signing to play football at UCM, his mother said, “Glory to God!”
According to Tarrillion, he expects to leave for UCM in August.
